The free talk session with ordinary Japanese guests is held as a final part of the course so that you can feel your progress after the 3-week program

B. PREPARATION COURSE FOR THE JLPT.* 1 & 2

Summer 08 Preparation Course for Level 1/2 of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test
This is a preparation course designed for levels 1 and 2 of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test which takes place every December.
This course is designed for students from countries which do not use Chinese characters in their writing system.
1) Students will be provided with careful instruction on reading comprehension skills for the 'reading' section, which students from countries which do not use Chinese characters find most difficult.
2) Students will be tested at the beginning and end of the course, enabling them to measure their achievements during the course.
3) Students will be provided with one on one counseling based on an analysis of their test results to enable them to continue studying independently after the completion of the course.
Students who participate in this course are expected to spend time studying vocabulary etc on their own at home every day.

C. Business Japanese for the professionals
A Situational Problem Solving Course
This course is for people who are presently working in a Japanese spoken environment .
* Japanese business introduction etiquette including business card exchange
* Japanese Business manners for introductions and farewells
* Japanese business entertainment culture and company communication style.
* Advanced Japanese business conversation for the telephone
* Use of formal expression in a company setting as well as outside the office
* Introduction to Japanese company structure and industry types
The course aims raise a student's business communicational skills and to help resolve daily communicational issues and problems experienced at work.
This year, we have included 2 days of lectures on in-house interpretation skills. If you are in charge of internal interpretation at your company but feel uncertain about your skills, why not take this opportunity to improve your business interpretation skills?
This course is open to students who already use Japanese at work and who have studied Japanese between 500 and 600 hours (students' conversation abilities will be checked).
